In art for a few weeks the year nine class has been studying different art styles, designing a thumbnail sketch of Manga and Pasifika art before redrawing it onto card paper and painting it.
In the process of that we learnt art terms, Like Portrait/Landscape Format, Contrast, Gazing, Blending and other techniques.
Bellow is my Thumbnail sketches, the design I went with, the coloured version, my before painting sketch, partially painted and the final product.
Kia ora Safiyya, thanks for posting up your work. Those yellow glazed highlights on the bottom figure are really effective! I would almost say put some of those on the figure above. But I can see the yellow purple contrast you are trying to achieve with night and day too.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to know where the diagonal division idea comes from. What made you divide the space like that? is it from a Manga comic you have seen?
Yeah, its based off a scene in a manga where it showed the perspective of two characters at once, thank you:)
